first scratches...

Blah, bad news is I got my first scratches on the car. Good news is, I ONLY got scratches on the car lol. I went to pick up my gf from the ATL airport last night, and on the way back ran across a construction zone. I had a semi in front of me, and too many cars on the left and coming from behind me moving left to get over. So of course, when I finally get an opportunity to pull over to the next lane from the right lane closing.. its too late. I hear the dreadful sound of the barrel meeting the side of my car (luckily only one cause these things were barely a car length apart). After that I drove for another 50 miles before I cooled off enough to actually stop and look at the resulting damages, and on first glance I was horrified at the WHITE streaks halfway down the passenger side, knowing the white is usually a bad sign and into the clear coat. So after sitting back down and gaping at it for a few minutes I actually walk up and rub one of the marks, it came right off. I work all day today so I dopnt get to assess real damage yet, but I know about 80% of it will come off with a wash, the other 15% will wax/rub out, another 3% will likely buff out, and the last 2% will require a repaint. Luckily looks like the only section bad enough to need paint is on the BUMPER. So If I didnt know a guy that could fix it for $50 then I would get the stillen and be done lol.

woot, Well I was wrong in a good way. 95% of it came off with just wax/ rubbing compounds. the other 5% will come out when I get a buffer on it

Dude I feel your pain someone burshed up on my car and musta had something on him/her bc there a scratch right unter the driver mirror. My car is the dark slate so if you look you can see it. I didn't notice it until my gf was washing my car and she told me. It pissed me off.

Girlfriends never wash the car the way you want them too. I sat there once and bit my tongue the whole time the other half washed most of the dirt off with my new chamois

Mind you.... when i wash my car, i actually pretty much detail it. She hoses it and then farts around with the water

She actually wanted to lol. I was cleaning it myself at he house but she insisted. She actually did a very good job, expecially on the rims

LMAO, must be nice. My gf cant even manage to back me up with spraying the car off when it comes to washing. She either drowns me or misses spots so badly that it starts drying (she insists on spraying from bottom to top )

lol. My gf likes going to the car wash too. She likes seeing all the wax colors lol. The only thing she hates is when I vaccume cause she needs to ger out of the car.

hahahha my gf loves to help me wash my car too....i gave her the job of cleaning the rims and tires. every once in a while ill let her rinse

well i'm complete opposite! i won't let my husband anywhere near my car!!!! unless he's gonna ride passenger. he's only driven the car a totally of one time....and that was just cause i was sick coming back from texas!!! but yeah glad to see that your scratches came out ok!
