I just picked up an S13 and I'm not sure what to do with it lol. It has D2 full coilovers and thats about it. I've removed all emission stuff and cleaned the bay up a bit. But as far as first mods Idk wtf to do first. Not going sr20 period, ka's are dirt cheap around here, so thats a no. Should i focus on more suspension mods, boosting the ka, lsd? The car will basically be my daily which I want to set up for drift and grip. idk suggestions as to wtf to do, ie stuff to make it handle better, slide easier, idk lol im a honda guy so this is all new..

sway/strut up front or rear? which end would I want to stiffen up for it to handle better in turns?

Ohh no im not attacking the OP.

Im attacking you.

You say power power power is the easiest way to get a car driftingWhen the stock KA can slide just fine.Get decent suspension and an otherwise stock S13 is a perfect drift car.LSD in the mix and ur set. Power is nice but isnt the easiest way to start drifting.

Further you make a comment along the lines of "there ok but its honda lol"......considering the S2K and the CRX are hondas, i dont think an S13 driver has any right to lol at honda.

cool thanks.

ive got decent suspension now. idk how good they are on s13's but for hondas d2's are a pretty good brand for a good price. like 32 way adjustable i think..any links to info on cheap oem lsd setups?

your opnion.. and power is the easiest way to slide you have to break tration before you can slide.. suspension just absorbs.. but your the best there is? your the next ken block right? your that guy... just bc you play need for speed all day doesnt make you a professional.. and honda?? i have nothing to say ok s2k big deal.. ok crx wow im impressed....not..

I dont particularly like ken block. You can call me the next Sebastian Loeb though.

s*** this thread turned into a steaming pile quick didnt it?OP, welcome to the s13 chassis...it is a fun platform, lots of room for modification and an abundance of parts easily had.now, since yoru new to it...check everything on the car(basic maintenance) flush yoru rad. change oil belts if needed. also invest in a pair of ruca's to go with your coilovers...and pick up an lsd, you can drop lots of coin or exchange for another nissan model (j30) or just weld it.be ready to work on it alot and get dirty.

I second the suspension and brakes FIRST, do not put power in a car this old with stock bushings and brakes. I have seen what could happen: trees, polls and walls will become your best friends

I think its funny that you got butt hurt over something said on a forum and responded with this type of post, but you told the other guy to grow up. haha.

Pictures First!! Where is it?!?! And congrats on buying a S13! Good choice. I would do brakes, suspension, wheels, LSD. Then ofcourse go TURBO! Have fun and drive safe!

is there a big list of things not to do on a 240 because everyone will call it ricer or should i start a new thread to see what everyone says hahaha

when i first got my daily i got stechs with kyb agx's, replaced the stock[rusted away]exhaust, and got sway bars. id say get some wide wheels and bigger breaks while upgrading old suspension pieces like tie rods for sure..and an lsd to fully take advantage of this whole daily drifter experience you can get a nice short throw and racing spark plug wires[increased HP, Easier starts, less carbon build up and better fuel comsumption] pretty cheap too..couldnt hurt

no, there isnt really a list just pretty much the obvious things.refer to the "best looking s13's EVER thread" for the look that everyone wants these days there are many many examples of s13 hotness and a few failures of course.study nico, you will learn.
