Hello, finally i found the problem of my car(it was making 3 psi instead of 7), so i went to the dyno to re-tune it with the new boost. Since my walbro fried, i got a 300zx twin turbo fuel pump wich i installed the same day that i went to the dyno. I just installed it as it was the original fuel pump(stock) and i made the travel to the shop. We put the car on the dyno first run, and at the end the car went off. We ran it with exactly the same setup of the 3 psi, and the car ran super rich. So i thought that it was just lean it(even when it was really weard).

Numbers: 239.6 Whp and 243 of torque. The air fuel was on the 10's and 9's.

So i told the guy to turn on the car, and he could not, then i tried and it did not want to, so we checked spark plugs and they were wet of fuel, so we cleaned them and tried again and nothing, i put new spark plugs and nothing and they came wet again, i checked the spark plugs wires and they were sending spark. We thought that it was the alarm so we disconected it and nothing changed.

It was late and i had to come back home so we left the car on the shop. Since i live in mexico and the shop is on the US(El paso Tx) my mechanic can not cross to the US to check my car so i had to tow it to Mexico(CD. Juarez). The car arrived late today and we could not checked it, tomorrow we will try to fix it.That is the story here comes the questions.

First, are those good numbers???What could be the problem? MAf computer, safc??Why is it running rich, if the first time i tuned with a walbro and now with a 300zx twin turbo fuel pump is it that much the difference?

You will need a fuel pressure gauge to see what fuel pressure you are running. You can get a cheap mechanical fuel gauge for 15 bucks and a T adapter for another 15 bucks. Really important to have one when trouble shooting EFI system.

Those numbers are dam good for stock MAF!

I think i can get one for free(the gauge), but if it is sending too much gas how can i make it send less. Also i have news about the car do not starting. It is the damn engine, yeah i checked compression and it is 30's on all cylinders, what can make this happen??? The car ran rich and it was only 7 psi, so i do not know what could make this happend(Please give some ideas) I will begin rebuilding the engine today, hoping that it is only rings. Yeah it should be a lot better if i could get forged internals but for real i do not have that kind of money.

What i want to know right now, is what happend??I do not want this to occur again.

Well, flooding the cylinders in the middle of a dyno pull you probably experienced a buttload of piston blow-by which is really bad for your rings. All that unburnt fuel drenches your cylinder walls and has nowhere else to go except past the rings. Prolonged blow-by can deteriorate your engine oil's effectiveness due to it being mixed with gasoline and lead to MUCH bigger problems on the bottom end. You should be ok in that area though. Just check everything out really good when you pull the pistons to re-ring them. Anyways that's what it sounds like to me, good luck!

an adjustable fpr should be up next on ur list of things to get for the car as u will then be able to adjust ur fuel pressure.

Hello, aftertearing down the motor today, we found that not only the rings are bad but the pistons are bad too. That make me realize that i need forged pistons, but they are way to overpriced for me. SO i will have to wait some time so i can buy them. I will keep you with updates. What do i have to do with the timing chaing???, I just change it? Or what was the problem with that(i do never have any, that is why i have not idea)ThanksTOna

I had similiar thing happen to me. 2 of my injector rings were tore without me knowing and leaked fuel.Fuel got into my oil and made it thin and spun a bearing.Had pressure the whole time but the fuel made the oil loose it's lub purpose.

Check for cracks and proper tension/hang, and if it's good, then you can reuse it.

Hello, does anyone know where can i get a cosmetic headgasked(it will be better if there is a sponsor)

Update: The rings are good, the pistons are broken. That is bad but i will get the supertech pistons with 9.1-1compression.

This site has quite a few parts. Found the link but never have bought anything from there. Hope it helps and good luck with the rebuild.
