Nope, you were right. The moustache didn't go away in 94 for sure. Mine still had it. 95 was the year the strip was body colored, so OP's 96 was originally body colored. Good looking out though. The real giveaway is the mirrors, which are still black on OP's car.

im confused about the whole mustache thing cuz my 92 does not have a black painted mustache and there is absolutely no signs of body damage from an accident or that its been repainted.

It had to at least have had the bumper cover replaced or repainted. The moustache was on every car until 1995. Are your mirror bases black or body color?

Mine was replaced because I pulled up too far on a curb and broke the lip, and I just had the replacement painted the body color, since it wasn't a really bright color. It's very common on these cars.

Got it from aksracing on ebay. Was a good deal. Its an M2 performance muffler. The straight h pipe bolt holes dont line up on a 96 actually. Only works on a 90-95. Its 304 stainless, good quality. I really like how it sounds. Low rumble, much nicer than the stock exhaust.

they are black. if my front bumper was repainted it was PERFECT match. i mean factory match. theres no sign of front end damage of any kind so IDK. if i can remember ill look for signs the bumper was taken off
