First race :)

I went to the track for our area last night and had an awsome time. It was my first time racing and so I had to kinda get the sequence of events down. THere was about 1000 cars racing and every thing from dirt bikes to crotch rockets to beater trucks to pure trailered drag rods. My first race was againsed a chick driving a 3rd Gen mitsu Eclipse GSX, and I was like "oh well, I dont mind losing to and AWD Turbo car." But I launced sooner and actually kept the lead!! I was pretty pumped. Next time through the staging lanes I ended up with a 80's Stang 5.0 and he wiped my ***.

But all-in-all the night rocked and I cant wait to do it again! Oh, I got there to late for times but the first race I ran about 82 mph and the secont I peeled out for a while at the start and was at 80 when I crossed the line. Isn't that about right?

Anyway, I had never been to racing before so I had to share my strory. I know most of you race all the time but for those of you who havent: At least go for the expirience even if you dont race, Its a really fun atmosphere and although there are always lots of civics and integras with strobes, there are still lots of nice cars everywhere to check out.

yo...it says '91 240sx SE Coupe at the bottomyeah ...do you have any mods on it?i thinking about going to the track to see what #'s i could pull on my stock 95 240sx SE...i don't have the LSD = (

i think he said "I got there to late for times" so i dont' think he got teh times. anywho congrats at the track, i can't wait until i get my engine in so i can go to the tracks and have some fun!

It was definatly cool the first time i raced at the drag strip, but after watching a drift event in person i dont know if i'll ever go back!

not to bash or flame, but the GSX Eclipse was only available in the 1st and 2nd gens, not the third...

other than that... I think its awesome. I personally cant wait to get to a track, period. I have never been able to race on a track. I went last thursday night. All my buddies wanted to try out their new mods.

congrats on the eclipse kill. i had a good time the first time i went to the track also. i was able to get my times, but kinda wish i wasn't, heh. my slushbox made my car so slow

My bad on the 3rd Gen. thing, now that I think about it the body style did only really change once. Well they changed the flip-up lights to fixed.... any way, It was `94-`98 one...

On another note... It is amazing how little people actually read the whole post before they ask Q's.

Implict: I only have a K&N Filtercharger, magnaflow exhaust, Sportlines w/ Gr-2 struts. My engine was rebuilt 6 K ago so it runs well

My best trap speed on the DOHC was ~87mph, yours sound kind of low, unless you have an auto, then I don't know.

Um... If your BEST was 87 and my first race ever was 82 w/o LSD and two different rear tires on. then I don't think that is too bad...
