How do you program the garage door opener in an I30?

No manual available. Got help?

Welcome. I've followed instructions and it has yet to work for me. I believe with some you have to do something to the main unit thats on your ceiling of your garage, but I'm too lazy right now. So, don't get disheartened if it doesnt work.

There should be a section in the instructions that addresses how to enter the rolling codes used in newer units.

short and simple steps that worked for me.

1. Hold both outside buttons (there are 3 on the visor, hold the outside 2) for about 20 seconds (until the light begins to flash red fast)

2. Hold the button you want the garage door to open to so that it is flashing red slow.

3. Continue to hold the visor button and now hold down your garage-door opener button in close proximity to your visor.

4. Hold these buttons down together, close to one another (the garage door clicker right up against the visor) for up to 2 minutes. (the garage door will close or open when the visor has the signal and has stored it.)

Test it, and it worked for me. 1st try.
