just leave the settings @ 0 across the board til the kits on....the ECU should compensate fine for any minimal mods...

i think there's a thread a little ways down about someone trying to install their SAFC.....and if i remember correctly there's a wiring diagram in it also

congrats BTW

it's not hard just use solder the wires together for a good connection. i tried to get out of doing that by using these junk connecters and it turned out a mess

Definetly use a soder. I'll also vouch for that. However, as for the diagram I foung there was another listed on the book that more accurately represents the wires (at least for my 95 s14) I believe it was 5n-b or something. the only wire that doesn't correspond is the throttle, which is the fourth one on top, on the first cluster of 4 holes (It helped that I also had the factory manual that tells me which wire is which. I can prbably post a copy of it if you need. It made my life much easier.

My friend just got a coldheat. Here's the truth: I used it for my SAFC and it holds. However, it is a pai in the @#$ to use because it doesn't get hot enough. The job of 6 wires took me 45 min to do it. If you can, go sodering iron. The sears one sounds OK.

I usually don't hav this problem with other wires, as most are not sodered in fact. However, the SAFC can be a little extra touchy. At first my throtle sensor was messed up, so I sodered everything.

to tell u the truth, i really did mine with electrical tape. it was fairly neat and i take about five to seven minutes with one wire and electrical tape. i did the twisting method if u will and its been holding up. no issues over here. i suggest the crimping tho with other connectors besides the ones it comes with. soldering could get messy if ur a rookie at it so just get some practice in b/f ya do it on the super short ecu wires....

I'll just use my installation skills and splice without soldering.Might grab a gun and try the first one though...
