First Oil Change Wednesday

Going for my first oil change wednesday before I drive up to SC with my girlfriend for thanksgiving.

Also gonna ask about the airbag cover while I'm there.

Did anyone ask for syn oil on their first oil change? I ask because my dealer gave me my first change free, and I'm wondering how much extra I'll have to pay if any.

If you're gonna go syn, I'd pick some up at the auto parts store and bring it in. It'l save big $$ over what the dealer wants to charge.

I'd concur. My dealer wanted to charge me $40 MORE for an Oil & Filter Change using the Mobil 1 synthetic oil that they stock instead of their standard oil. I asked them if I could bring in my own oil - they replied "Yes" - so I blew off their free first oil change offer and supplied my own Oil and Oil Filter. They charged me less than $10 to perform the service with the supplies I provided - so the Full Synthetic Oil + Filter change only cost me about $10 more than their standard pretrol Oil change.
