This weekend I bought BC coilovers from Johnnir3volution who also helped me install them, despite his back injuries. Much love.
Today acidjake helped me install my rear camber bolts and I finished the day with an alignment.

I originally planned on slowly saving up for the coils and buying them in February but I figured that the offer that Johnny gave me was too good to pass up.

First impressions:
Love my car lowered. Big change from default height. Not slammed or anything, just about how low Johnny's was.

Handling is much better on the coils. I started off with 15f 15r on the dampening. Very rocky though compared to stock. I changed the rear to 8 and front to 14. Still rocky but better than before. I'm thinking it might have to deal with the preload but I'm not sure. Gonna look into it. Not too familiar with this stuff, I only know the basics.

I plan on doing a photo shoot sometime next weekend and putting the pictures of my new ride height up then.

Shoutout to these two guys for helping my first mod go well :bigthumb:

Yeah, it's pricey, but after that everything's a piece o' cake, financially. Also, it's an easy couple-hour job with a second set of hands.

I think it's a great choice for a first mod. Of course, I might just be rationalizing... Anyways, grats, OP, and we're looking forward to what you do next!

Its softer but still feels very stiff. I'm getting used to it but I still would like to resolve the feeling if possible. I plan on looking into the "preload" this weekend, whatever that is. Gotta do some research! Also gonna try looking up the default coil dampening rates.

Here's a teaser: :gapteeth:

Alignment Report
Image

Actual represents what its at right now. I was initially worried about why the Front Left had some red readings (last two measurements) that different from the Front Right but the Mechanic said that I shouldn't worry about it. But he wasn't blowing me off. He said that he liked my setup and that it was installed well for a great price =]

Haha. Now I really want new wheels. Looking into going flush, might get spacers. Let the saving begin!Gonna try to get tires/wheels by January.

I hope that when you do get new wheels you will be lowering the car more. It still sit pretty high for coils. Also if you get wheels try to get the right offset so you can avoid spacers since its better to run without it.

Yeah, def gonna go lower. And I'm gonna try to hold off on spacers if I get the right wheels

Yeah. I got it buffed couple days after I bought it because it came with a couple of minor scratches. How do I prevent swirls when I wash her myself?

yeah, coils ftw! It feels bumpy at first and then the coils start to settle in and you eventually get used to it. Now it's time for you to get some rims
