hey everyone,

havent posted here in forever, and there has been a big change since then.

I decided to repaint my car from Nissan KH3 Super Black, to a custom mixed Matte Stealth Gray. Ive taken examples from the matte gray lamborghini reventon, as well as other cars. an example here being a Matte Gray BMW Z4.

Image

here is what my car looked like not too long ago.

and here is a teaser pic of what it looks like now

you cannot really see the color in the picture for what it is, but it is completely covered in Matte Stealth Gray with Matte Black accents :)

It still needs to wetsand and be buffed, but from the looks of it now its awesome. Pics will follow once it is completely done.

Loving the Matte Grey on the Z4. Yours is really teasing us. Moar pictures. IMO, you should look into upgrading your wheels.

price really wasnt that much because i bought the paint using a shop's account so i got a heavy discount, somewhere around 40-45%. originally the paint wouldve costed $480, but i got it for $270, and that was for 2 quarts of Stealth Gray custom mixed, 2 quarts of clearcoat, 1 quart of flattening agent that was mixed 50:50 with each quart of clear, as well as the hardener for the clear.

i was able to use my uncles shop to get the car painted so that was free, and then i gave the guy that painted my car $100 and a beer for his time, and that was it.

all that as well as other materials to prep the car and what not which came to almost $100 as well, my grand total wasnt alot. everything came out to be less that $500 for a complete custom, sort of one of a kind, paint job.

not bad huh?

more pictures will come after the weekend.

Sweet deal. If I was going that route I would have gone with the Blue color they offered for the 08 coupes... i love that color.

So did they paint everything? like inner doors, etc?

Is it just me, or does that matte grey look like plastic? Nothing I'd want to flash, personally. :D But nice work getting a different paintjob. Let's see updated pics.
