well, i am in the process of going KA-T. my main reason for this is for experience. i am building a JGS style log manifold, that will be topped with a Mitsubishi TD04 turbo, i will be running an external wastegate off of the log.

fuel management will be provided by a FMU, im looking for a very responsive setup, running anywhere from 4-7 psi? i dont plan to upgrade this setup anymore than i have to, because i have other plans when this engine goes. compression was good on all cylinders.

now my questions begin, 1) will the TD04 turbo be too small? 2) also, what ratio should i use for the FMU, 6:1 or 8:1i will be using stock everything, injectors, new pump was put in maybe 8k ago (b4 i thought of going turbo)

im just looking for some insight, im on a pretty tight budget, and most everything that van be fab'd will be done. also, this is primarily an autox car. but does do some DD,i just want a lil more go from the motor.

the TD04 turbo i currently have is a TD04HL-13T, but i have access to plenty of other models, like the 15g, 16t, and 18t's.

For a low boost setup that will work. If you want more power down the road you can always swap the turbo out when the budget allows for it. The 6:1 FMU is gonna be the way to go. If you run more then 7psi you'll need to retard your base timing a couple of degree's.

thanks WD, i have been on this sight soooo much, its not even funny. i finally got around to actually making a log in, but this is not my first nissan. back in the day (3 years ago) i had a blacked out 300zx, 5 speed, N/a. that car to this day was my favorite. but im hoping the 240 will take its place.

so the TD04 turbo shouldnt be too small? my friend built a nissan maxima, and is running 6psi, and putting out 342 to the wheels , but that turbo is HUGE compared to mine. so i know a bigger one will put out more flow, when compared at the same psi, but is it that big a difference at the low boost ill be running?

also, i have looked everywhere, and i cannot find out what kind of flange the td04 uses, its from a volvo? i will keep looking tho.
