Acquired my 1993 J30t 5 months ago and believe it was sitting for awhile possibly 6 months or longer. When I cold start most of the time it almost dies and then returns to normal idle. When warm it doesn’t do this at all. 4 days ago it got “worse” when I cold started and drove immediately. Next day it wouldn’t fire up. All my accessories windows and lights work. Anyone else had this problem?

mac, see Field Service Manual (FSM) for instructions on flashing your ECM codes (55 being All OK)And the ECM must be pulled out of the lower Rt. pass. "kick panel".By removing panel and a small bracket beside ECM - ECM has 3 10mm bolts 1 nut holding it in & you must "Tip" it forwards in it's "slot" in order to lay it on floor and do the "test".Test by turning set screw per FSM to see either LED's on ECM OR the MIL (Chk eng. Lt.) as it flashes - first LONG the SHORT "blips".5 long +5 short = All OK with ECM system's componants/inputs. Most common codes of your symptom is usually 12 (1 long + 2 short & MIL illuminates) MAF or the 34 (3 long + 4 short & MIL will NOT illuminate here) Knock Sensor. Good luck :yesnod Post here what you get . G .T. 3/26/2018
