Congratluations Gr8scott!!!

Being a dad is a great thing. I still can vividly remember when my daughter was born and what a great day in my life that day was.

You need to remove the cover around the steering wheel and that will give you access to the bolts holding the gauge cluster in.

There may be a few more things to do, let me check the FSM.

Well, I want to cram everything into one thread, so here is an update.Im looking into getting the Borla Boomer series, #40059 universal muffler. I recently just joined this car club (nine-fourteen.com), and they own a shop where they do custom stuff. Im meeting with the admin tomorrow to see if I can use 300zx coils on my J30. Ive read about it being possible on turbo-infiniti.com, but I want to make sure before hand. They also will do a VG30DETT swap for me for $5000, which seems better then buying a new car. Paint jobs are ~800, which is cheap, seeing how they do top quality jobs.

$5k qoute for a TT swap. "Oh...there's $2k worth of unexpected parts/labor...our bad." HahahaI'm actually interested about the coils though. Let us know how that turns out.An $800 paint job...that's sketchy kinda. A decent one is usually in the like, $2500+++ area. Just sayin'.

ok, so I got the estimate. He said, you dream it, we build it. they can do ANYTHING. So, im thinking of getting the borla boomer for now, then replace the top two muffler with Borla Turbo's in the future. $200 for tints, $1500 for paint, $5000 for VG30DETT, $300 for 300zx coils with J30 top hats. He is also looking for the JDM lip and fog lights. This kid is loaded. Has a 89 Blazer lifted, etc, a 1993 Mustang in perfect condition, an LS1 FD, and a Toyota Supra. His house is screwing huge, and he has a lift, etc.

Ok back to the exhaust. Im doing what Scott did to his car, im replacing the top two mufflers with Borla's, and deleting the suit case. It will be $100 to install. What are the measurements of the stock two mufflers?

I think it's 2 1/4" inches stock. I'd go no larger than 2 1/2" inches for the whole exhaust.
