First issues: Chassis Control, ABS, TCS, AWD warnings

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

First problem has popped up twice within the last two days. Wife was driving along on the expressway and received a near BINGO on the gauges with:

- Chassis Control System Error (warning)
- AWD Error, See Owner's Manual (warning)
- ABS and TCS (lights)

She pulled over and checked the owner's manual which stated to reduce vehicle speed for the AWD error and have Infiniti check it out. She stopped a couple of times and the warnings went away. The same issue happened again yesterday. Doing some research I see others had similar issues which required sensors to be replaced so I have an appointment to drop the car off today. I'll post up the solution when I get information.

This may not be the same thing, but did you check the brake fluid?

I know in the Altima and Z cars (or any VDC equipped car for that matter), low brake fluid will trigger the ABS and TCS/VDC lights. Your Q50 has more with the chassis and AWD, which may still utilize some components of the same computers that run VDC.

It's a sensor problem. The parts are on back-order and it seems I may not have it for a week.

Ah. Sucks. Did they offer you a loaner car in the meantime? My local Infiniti dealer is really good about that.

Yeah, I get a loaner if I ask for it. They were able to get the part and I picked it up today all nice and clean :)

Same thing happened to me with my 2014 Q50. Temps here dropped to -28C and after a short stop at a store, the dreaded "chassis control system error" popped up. That was then followed by the DAS error, sensor malfunctions, and the Active Trace failure warnings. Managed to get the car home. Duplicated the problem several times over the evening. Towed to dealership the next day. Seems that this is a similar problem to one that showed up for the previous model but the previous fix does not work this time. Something to do with cold weather and its affect on the sensors and/or computer system. No fix available. The present solution by Infiniti is to put the car into the dealership back lot until a solution can be found (or the weather warms up). Anyone else have this problem? Frustrating ...

Weird...mine was not due to cold weather.

Matty - Any further issues on this? My Q50 just lit up with the same lights on my drive home this evening. Wondering how safe it is to drive. Car has nearly 35,000 miles currently.

After replacing the sensors I've had no other issues. We didn't have any issues driving it when the lights were on but it was for short-term (home and then to the dealership).

Looks like for now it's relegated only to AWD models too - I haven't found anything about RWD models having this issue.

Isn't the AWD setup in the Infinitis derived from the ATTESA in the Skyline world?
