Last sunday at the autocross I was reminising about my old 88 MR2. Then I started thinking about what it could have been if i had had it now and not 5 years ago... Then i remembered the twincharger kit from HKS that came out WAY back when... Check this out. Truly Amazing... I wish i hadn't sold mine!!

4AGZET for the 1988 and 1989 AW11 MR2

approx 350 RWHP was possible with NO turbo lag at all really. The car weighs about 2,400 pounds on a bad day.

check out this old dyno chart. Thats a lot of torque at 2500 rpm Imagine how long and flat and high that dyno chart would be.the carthe motor

That is because it is a 1.6l out of its effiecency range. Our CAs suck down low too for that dame reason. Small displacement that can't combust enough air at low engine revolutions.

an 88 was my first car.

hence my email address that ive had since 1997- [email protected]

i used to love the little light on the dash that would come on when the supercharger engaged.

very well built for such a small car. i wrecked the **** out of it and walked away without a scratch.

HP is a calculated number. You'll find that unless you can produce 190 ft lbs at 2750 RPM you will be making less power.

170 ft/lbs at the wheels @ 2500 rpm for a 1.6 liter is nice.

that car must have been fun.
