First Gen Frontier Steering Joint Recall

Had the recall done on my Frontier today. Nothing wrong with the one I had but you can never play things too safe when it comes to steering. I was at the dealer for about an hour total. The tech, an ex co-worker of mine, pulled up a chair and let me sit in the shop while he did the recall.

what was the recall for? well... what was the problem with the steering joints that they needed to be recalled?
