Well, I can't seem to get myself out of the truck. Damn, this is one sweet ride. Some observations:
Gas Mileage: Got about 330 miles on the first tank. Dealer filled it, so I don't know exactly how many gallons he put in. Probably getting about 14mpg.
Ride: Smooth and very precise. This is an LE without the off road package, so this may vary, but it handle the bumps, potholes and such very well. The turning circle is suprisingly small for a truck this size.
Handling: Very nimblr. Cruises down back (paved) roads with ease. Only took a few minutes to get used to the size. It does not "feel" big when you are in it. Very hard to explain. Mine has the heated towing mirrors, and the view with the smaller blind spot mirrors that are built in is great. Once I got them set, I feel very comfortable.
Interior: Getting used to it. This is a Crew Cab, and there is a TON of room in the back. I've had the back seat "up", and you can put a lot of stuff back there. Mine has the DVD Entertainment system in it, as you have to get this if you want the sunroof (?). It is pretty cool, but I will rarely use it. The sound from a DVD is Dolby Digital and sounds great. The Nephews will like it.
The instrumentation is great, there is a tranny temperature gauge that comes with the towing package. The NAVI is pretty easy to use, as is the radio.
Back Up Sensor: Works great. Almost as good as having the camera (as in my former Q45). This is well worth getting.
Not So Great:
1) The bed is smaller because I have the Crew Cab. Would be a real sweet (but long) truck if it had the same bed as the King Cab.
2) The fold down arm rest on the drivers captains chair seems to be a bit small, and too close to the seat. It feels like it should be over to the center another inch or two.
3) Interior storage is a bit odd. There is a deep spot where you can throw anything, but that makes it hard to find what you are looking for quickly. The two main cupholders are off to the drivers side, although there is a strange slide out cupholder for the driver in the deep storage area. The spot under the center console is also deep, but filled with the DVD player and a bit cramped.
4) The NAVI is essentially the same as the one in my Q45, but the lower section of the screen is filled with radio station info, etc, which shifts the map display up about an inch. It would be nice if this were selectable, so you could turn it off and get the whole map.
Needless to say, this is all nit pick crap, this is a great truck. I get looks whereever I go. It's a real head turner on the road and in parking lots!
I am getting an X-Pel kit intalled next week to protect the front from rocks, bugs, etc. I will feel better after that is done.
Anyone interested in getting a Titan should go drive one, and you will love it. This is a real winner from NISSAN. Great Job!!!
