ok so im starting my first real engine build. im thinking about going KA-T but not so sure just yet. im thinkin of a budget of like 3500 to say a 5000, and how difficult would this be? would it be easier to just buy an sr and swap it?? if all I eat is ramen for the next year or so. and dont move out of my parents house, lol. so yeah any info would be appreciated.

Everything depends on you man. Are you mechanically inclined? Have a garage?

The install of the turbo and whatnot isn't to difficult, but you'll have to have a oil return bung welded to the pan. The building of the motor itself is probably best left to a shop.

if you are wanting to actually learn, building a KA-T is the way to go. if your project car is your daily driver you are going to be without a car for a while. i recommend getting a second engine and building it with the help of an expert and then installing it after it is done. have a goal and stick with it. do your research, take your time. spend a lot of time in the forums reading, your in the right place thats for sure.
