I picked up my 2007 M45 tonight and it looked beautiful. They had detailed it nicely and it really stood out.

My first driving impression is that the car is downright dangerous in the snow with the Potenzas. I couldn't make it up a slightly inclined driveway with some light snow cover. I have already ordered a 17 inch winter wheel and tire package that includes Blizzaks so I am crossing my fingers that they will make a big difference.

Secondly, I am still finding new things with the car. I went into the center console and there is a DVD player. I had no idea that was there. I guess it would probably play movies directly on the Navi screen?

After almost 10 years of driving a 3 series coupe it seems like I am driving a limo with the M45's size. I had a Volvo S70 before the Bimmer so I know that it will just be a matter of time before I get used to a bigger car again.

The only issue that I have seen so far is that my cell phone power cord does not get any power when I plug it into the cigarette lighter. Has anyone else had this issue?

Well, maybe if you stay out the ghettos of Woodbury MN with your chrome rims and pillars you wouldn’t have those issues. Also, tell those prostitutes that are in your back seat to stop spilling crack rocks over the carpet & the fury hat with alligator lace up boots do not help your situation on snowy roads. Boom…You’ve just been stereotyped!

just joking, but buy new tires. everything else sounds normal

I love the big sunroof, when I put my seat back nice and far the feathers on my hat stick right through it and I don't have to worry about showing up at the club with bent feathers.

LOL!!! You mentioned earlier that the car seems big compared to the slovo and mini cooper 3 series, so I take it that you are on the short side or vertically challenged. Move your seat all the way to the front near the dash and that should cure the big car feeling and your lighter socket may need a new fuse good luck. Oh, keeps us posted on that DVD in the console... I’m sure you will be watching your favorite movies once you figure it out ( Roots, Mississippi Burning, American History X, etc..)

I am a good sized guy a tad over 6 foot but it will take a little adjusting to get used to driving a 4 door again. The car is garaged until the Blizzaks come in. It is horrible in Minnesota right now,

I plugged my phone into the 12v power jack on the back of the console and that works. An issue I have with Nissan/Infiniti's is that the phone only gets juice while the car is on. With the Bimmer it got constant juice since it isn't much of a battery draw.

if you ever get going, stopping will be even more fun! My RE050A had no traction during the last minimal snow fall that we had earlier this week. I have ordered all-season tires, we will see if that will be enough. It does not snow much here and the temps are mostly above 32F during our sissy winters here... so I figured that winter tires would be overkill.

YES! I plugged my radar detector in to the cigarette lighter plug for the first time today, and it wouldn't work. The back of the center console has power... I was thinking it might be a fuse.
