So I come out from the mall and go to my car in the lot and find a dent on the left side of the back bumper. The dents about 7 inches wide and ~2.5 inches deep. It's right on the corner of the rear under the taillight. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've heard three options so far: 1) get a new bumper 2) body shop with the poking of the holes and pulling the dent out or 3) body shop putting some nitrogen thing on it and then using suction to pull it out. Any ideas on the cheapest way to fix this? The OEM bumper from getnissangenuineparts.com is 250 so anything cheaper than that? Anyways, I'd rather do it myself than have any smudge on my insurance. Thanks!

Kevin

p.s. newb question. I dont know how to upload pictures. I know its that litte yellow mountaing picture frame but it just comes out as [IMG][/IMG]

You need an image hosting site such as photobucket. Paste the URL between the [IMG]'s.

Sorry to hear about your car. Your best bet is to take it into a shop to find out what your options are. It's hard to tell without actually seeing the damage first hand.

I'm not sure if this would work or not, but a bodyshop tech had told me before if you use a hairdryer to warm up the body, you could pop it out pushing from behind/ or use a plunger to pop it out. Or you could go the other routes.

*EDIT* Before you think about trying the hairdryer..........wait for some insights from the pro's first. Not sure if it would damage your car more bro.
