First dealership service experience

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Bought my first Infiniti 2 months ago, is the EX35 dark currant with chestnut leather.

And i brought it to service for the first time yesterday because i noticed there was a screw in my tire. Since the screw did not puncture the tire wall, the repair was only $30.00 CDN + Tax.

When I went to pick up my car after work, the person at the service dpmt gave me my keys, showed me where my car was, and said i could go and the repair was free. I checked my bill while walking towards my car, and it showed $0.00 everywhere, and noticed at the bottom, it reads: "No Charge. Good will from your dealer."

Just wanted to share this with you guys.

Do you know what is the small bright light located next to the on/off sun-roof switch for??

Thanks.

I think that's just to indicate that the sunroof switch is there so you can reach for it easier in the dark?

That's actually a great idea but it is actually designed to illuminate the shift knob in the dark with a subtle amount of light. Infiniti has been doing this for 20 years. I have this in my 95 and it is actually pretty handy sometimes although the effects are hard to notice but it is there for a reason.

Simlam,- Welcome to the forum, congratulations on the new EX
(I really really like the Chestnut interior, perfect choice imho).

So often I read threads similar to the with something along the lines of...this is my first service and I hated X,Y,Z about the place.

For every one person who goes to the dealer for the first time and has a less than perfect experience there are a few out there who had as ideal an experience as a trip in for service can be.This are the instances we often rarely hear about, as a long time dealer tech and Infiniti fan I really like to see positive things out there with the Infiniti name attached (Sorry, I just got done reading a Car and Driver article). I am personally glad to see someone out there doing something right.

Kudos to your dealer, and you.
