Not to be a douche, but you could see the rocks, so why not stay further backto protect your car? Maybe you didn't see them until after some hit and then you pulled back, I wouldn't know.

thank god its just spray paint. these are everyday things that fly up and hit your car, whether they are on the back of a work truck or fly up from the roads, its inevitable. rock chips are normal. spray it again and hit it hard with the clear.

The paint is the least of my concerns but my emblem is messed up and will have to be replaced and a piece of my hood is broke

Then I wouldn't give him the benegit of the doubt and call him an idiot, I'd assume he's a jerk, and that's just to keep the forum PG. ;)

Why not make a claim, you have his license plate number? Also did you use any primer?

damn bro...a string of bad luck on the roads you drive...your rims, now your hood/grille....

sorry man!!!

I think you should call your insurance co and file a Comprehensive claim -- rocks hitting your car. No fault to you...it appears from the photo, you have the guy's lic plate.

btw, I have a few grilles sitting around in my garage (after I did the 08 bumper conversion)...one of them is a billet grille that's powder coated gloss black...no chips on that baby  I can let it go at a decent price...let me know....

I think Mex means file a claim against his auto carrier, not your own. Plus even if you had a zero deductible, you carrier is not going to go after that guy for anything less than a few grand in damage/costs, the admin/legal costs would be prohibitive. Thusly you get a ding against your experience and guess what, a bump in rates...so that is not the best course, obviously.

You have reasonable evidence that it occurred, you have the picture of the friggen rocks on his bumper and you have pictures shortly BEFORE the incident.

It might be a good 2.5+ hours of your time though...so only you can determine if it is worth it.

BTW saw your other post and pics, dig the look, flat black and the white, plus the roofrack. What roofrack is that btw? Can someone point me to one online that will work for our cars?

Well I pulled the grill and redid it ..but the piece on hood is broke so I just 3Md it for now I will be getting a carbon Hood and trunk soon... the only brand or company that makes a roof rack for the car is Thule they are pricey the only I got retails for about 800.. I prfer Yakima but they do not make a rack for the car.. I have a $500 dollar hitch carrier from yakima.. I was going to build a OEM style 4 bolt hitch but lost interest.. If someone wants a hitch I can build one for about 250 give or take. and if someone know anyone that wants to buy a hitch mounted bike carrier LMK too lol it holds for bikes

Where is this picture? That water tower looks familiar. I was in League City/Kemah last week for training.
