Hello Everyone!

So a little background on this project. A year ago I had come across a M56 Aero front bumper on Craigslist. I didn't see these bumpers often so I had a idea to buy it and figure away to fit it on my M35. Months passed while I photoshop tons of ideas of what it would look like and what I would keep from the Aero bumper. Finally I found a good deal on a donor M35 front bumper cheap enough to justify cutting it up. Both these bumpers sat in storage waiting to get started on. Month after month the project was pushed back. Got to the point to ask some shops if they wanted to tackle it all on their own, most shops declined because of the amount of work that would have to be done. Year later I finally got all parts and equipment needed to merge these bumpers together the right way. I started my first cut on the Aero bumper going back and forth to keep the y51 front grill or not. After a month looking at how it looked I decided to use the 08 grill because the y51 didn't look to good with our headlights. So more cutting went on after I got everything merged together I took the project to a friends shop JTran Motorsports here in Houston to finish up the body work and paint. They did a fantastic job making my idea come to life.

I do have photos of every step of the process but I won't release them yet. Sorry I would like to rock this look for a bit before everyone throws every dime to acquire this look.

Wow that looks really good and very clean. It actually fits proportionally. Glad you kept the 08 grill.

It really didn't fit. The y51 bumper is wider had to cut the width down

good god...... can you make me one too

you should have a mold built for it and have it replicated, i'm sure other people are willing to dish out for it

Well you and the body shop did a great job of making it look like it was made for your car. I'm sure it was a lot of work but it turned out fantastic. Can't wait to see the how-to pics of the process you went through.

nice "one-off".... I think a widebody mod to the rear fenders will be a nice touch :dblthumb:

I wonder if the guys in Japan has done this....I know they come up with some crazy body kit/bumper mods....

They did one at Tokyo Auto Saloon. But it was the sport I think not the aero and they did it real radical. It did win first place tho I heard.
