Hey guys, my name's Allan, i recently bought a 1993 240sx, it's completely stock (for now!) but there are two issues it has and one of them i am pretty worried about. Ok to start it has a bad power steering fluid leak (its leaving a trail) im not exactly sure what is wrong with it. And the second issue is the one im worried about, it has a hole in the drivers side frame rail caused by rust, i really dont wanna see it go to the dump so any help would be greatly appreciated.
(i have pictures of the frame if needed)
Thanks
Allan

Just one hole? That's nothing man. Weld that sum b**** up!

The power steering leak is going to have to be traced to it's source... it shouldn't be TOO hard. Just pop the hood and follow the stream to where it's coming from.... maybe start the car and get the flow going, then shut it off and trace it so you don't get your hands caught up in the pulleys and belts.

I've always just did it myself... figure $250 for the welder, steel, and proper PPE.

You might be able to bring it to a muffler shop or something and have them do it. I wouldn't think it would cost more than $100. It's not like it has to be pretty and perfect, it's just a frame rail.

for the PS leak, its probably leaking from inside the rack itself. atleast thats where mine was coming from. it was leaking out of the boots. i just bought an entirely new rack.
and if you really want to seal the deal on the hole in the frame, xcessive sells the frame rail replacements. youll have to cut the old section out and weld in the new piece.
