Car: Infiniti G35 Sedan

Post

Hello everyone! I am in the market to purchase my first car. I don't have a lot of money but I love the Infiniti G35 Coupe/Sedan. I have a few in mind that I am currently looking towards. My first question is how reliable are these cars at high mileage? What can I expect to see, from a repair standpoint, at the 100k mark? I am looking to find a car around $10,000. I have found a few '03 G35 Sedan's close to or over 100k for around this price.

This link will show one of the cars I am looking at currently. Is this a good deal? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

i traded my 2005 g35x at 72,000 miles and it was still running like new and i didnt baby it one bit... :yesnod :naughty:

This is why im on my second G. there are plenty of people on this forum with 03-04 g35 that have over 100k mikes. The main things at that milage is getting the spark plugs changed and finding out when the last time the transmission was flushed. If the ower has maintained that g35, a high milage G is nothing to run from.

the other concerns with the 03-04 G35 is an electrical issue with the radio and a/c circuit boards which is fixable but annoying if it happens. Then 03-04 OEM brake pads stop well but produce a lot of dust and wear quickly. this brake issue is solved with aftermarket brake pads... still nothing to run from...

I appreciate the response and great information. With the electrical issue, what are the costs to get that replaced/fixed?

What are a few key points to look at when looking at a high mileage G?

You may want to wait awhile until you have more money?

Mine has been very reliable. I've given mine 36 oil changes thus far but not everyone takes good care of their vehicles.

For not much more than $10k you could get a brand new Honda with a factory warranty and better gas mileage while you save for a newer or brand new G

Just my $.02

Good luck and welcome to NICO
