Mine have squeaked occasionally. I find when I have had the car parked for a long period of time and then drive it after sitting for a couple of days it squeaks backing out of the driveway. It does not mean that the brakes need to be replaced though.Mubbly wrote:Mine squeak every so often at 11,900 miles..
That's funny because I've owned 4 Nissans a Toyota a Buick and a Isuzu and all have had squealing/squeaking at some point...except my Versa.versatill wrote:I've got 11,500 miles on my Versa and the squealing brakes started at around 10k. You can say all you want it's the metallic brakes bla blah blah. But since 2004 I've owned a 2 Toyota's, Scion, Subaru, and another Nissan and not single one ever, ever, had a problem with noise from the brakes. To me this is just another indicator of how cheap the car is and the low quality parts and care but into it. The dealership gave me the "it's normal for metallic brake s to do that." Absolute horses__t! I drive around all day next to new cars and I don't hear their brakes making a dying pig noise.
i didn't know partsamerica went oob........anyway here's a quote:Demonspawn wrote:i just did mine 2 weeks ago 44k miles and rotors are not cheap for this car.
..ya it says 56.99 on the advance website so i don't get where 43.00 came from......ok napa has it for 42.00 good price though have to admit.......Demonspawn wrote:found mine for 43.00 at NAPA and had advanced auto price match. its still a bit steep for oem when i was used to paying under 30 for my old grand am and all my other cars for the last 10 yrs.
.......my outback rotors were 15.00 and that's all disc brakes so that was a good price...........Demonspawn wrote:im just used to sub 30 dollar rotor for all the other cars i have had over the years was a bit of a sticker shock for me.
This is true as I've experienced this (and still do) even way before I'm at the 42K that I am at now. I haven't done a brake job as yet and seeing that the brakes are still good so I do not plan on doing that anytime soon either.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:Mine have squeaked occasionally.
