Today checked oil pressure on 91 Q and pressure was good. This is the first and hopefully the last time I'll have too do this job on a Q! I've done oil pressure checks on a lot of other cars and trucks before but, I caught hell with this one. Why did the manufactures put the oil pressure gauge in such a remote location? Well I know it has to be in the circuit of oil flow not far from oil pump components but, they could have made accessibility better. Recommendations for anyone in the future would be. You must use a lift. May also have to drop drivers side sway bar. Also crimp over left side pre-cat heat shield on #7 header down pipe. Also make sure you position hose on your oil pressure gauge so its not on header. Best probably to use teflon tape on O.P.G. because you don't want any foreign matter going into your oil system. I have a snap on brand oil gauge so I installed my adapter onto my hose and gauge but, DO NOT tighten it that way when you start it into oil port. Your hose is already attached. Its very hard to start a curved hose into a small adapter especially with the ports location.
