First 2jVert???

I havent done much on this forum, but I have noticed that I might just be the first person to do a CA smog legal 2jz into a 240vert... No?

I'd like to hear if anyone else had done it, or heard of someone who has done it.

I havent done it yet, already have the engine, and im talking to a BAR ref to double check, but i will post up pics later

I just want to know if i'd be a first!?!

Of course, and I'm glad you are planning on big things for your car.

But realize that 98% of what ppl "plan" on doing something big who post here don't usually do it or finish it, regardless of what they already have...

I'm guilty of this too. I was suppose to turbo my 240 about 2-3 years ago. Have gone through 3 manifolds, several different engine management systems, etc, & only test-fits on the car. Still n/a.

I'll get it done one day, I swears, hahahahaha.

Bigger the plans, the harder to go through with it. My plans have changed a lot since I first started here.

In my expert opinion, I'd say you would be the first. I can tell you that I have never seen a 2JZ powered convertible. I would think anyone to try that swap would certainly not keep it to themselves, they would share it on the forums. So I'd be pretty confident that you would be the first.

That would be awesome too!!! 2JZ is a great engine, and would be incredible in a 'vert!

I have actually given some thought to doing a 1JZ swap in my 'vert, but I'm happy with the RB20 and now I have a new project waiting in the wings.

i was so excited when I read the title of this thread.. I thought i was gonna see some pics of a beast of a vert, i was very dissapointed to find out it was a plan thread.
