Don't worry I already gave him the beat down on his price. So hopefully he will drop it. I definitely will take a look at it. What's the HP in this? And also, what would it take to fix the power steering rack, what would I be looking at paying for parts as well as labor since i don't think I could do it myself? Keep filling me with info. I have read but it's nice hearing it from people up front. Plus I can't seem to find specs on this specific car. Thanks again for all your guys' help

Here's a few. I looked in KC and St. Louis for you.

93 vert $2450http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1233049546.html

94 vert 5 speed $2000http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1228895414.html

91 hatch $1900http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1225229348.html

93 vert $2800http://kansascity.craigslist.o....html

90 sil-coupehttp://kansascity.craigslist.o....html

idk hatch, looks clean $1000http://kansascity.craigslist.o....html

91 hatch $2200http://kansascity.craigslist.o....html

Damn, there are some REALLY cheap verts in your area. If I still lived in KC I'd definitely be looking at those. My advice would be to find a clean AUTOMATIC car, preferably stock. Most of those haven't been abused NEARLY as much as the 5 speeds.

yeah, I would but I just got started in college and I work part time at Target so I do not have enough money to be doing swaps or doing any work on a car. I can't have a project car right now, so I'm looking for a decent 5 speed, non-convertible (IMO they are ugly =/) with little to no initial work needed. So I will look into that black one because it looks like it won't need much. Maybe an engine rebuild down the line but that's it along with the power steering rack being fixed (however much that may be)

^^ Single cams are just fine. Don't believe the hype of a dual cam. Yeah they're better, but it's no life changing difference or anything.

The soot might be there because he gutted the catback. Just ask him or check. Knock on it and listen for hollowness or not.

I stay away from 240's with sunroofs like that. That's the dealer installed one I believe. Way more prone to leaking because well, it was an after thought with no real sunroof frame or drain hoses. Thus why the seats look like a floppy slut vagina.

Car needs some real paint love, not just buffing. I'd talk him down under 2k because you never know how well his boy did the rebuild.

New car is way easier to fix. Sexier as well. Most likely a PS hardline fitting is leaking. NBD

black one is worth 2k max. and the red one has bondo on the driver quarter, you can see it cracking. its much worse than just new paint.

the black one is a very good condition. its only 170k on a 1989 single cam. single cams are great, if you dont want a project defenitly dont get the red one. the black one looks great go check it out see how it runs

I wouldn't pay 3500 for a stock 89 I don't care, who you are.

Ka24e singles are great and sound better.

Ka24de duals have a much better designed head.

I'd go checkout the 1991 se or the olathe s13 for 1000.
