ok, im in the process of getting me a 1992 240 hatch. ive been looking through other threads and im thinking of going KA-T instead of SR. but since its my first 240 i want to start the buid the right way so i dont want to touch the bottom end :poke: . so does anyone know where i can buy a crate KA24 motor? ive been doing some research but i also cant find the AMS KA long block.. i want this car as my starting drifter, but also why some power enough to have fun on the highway. also, any ideas for a great suspension setup??? :)

You can try this place for a crate motor: Link

As for suspension, be like everyone else and choose from megan, stance, or powered by max.

If the hatch you're getting is in decent running condition, hold off on worrying about crate motors (for now). Focus on getting routine maintanance up to date first. Once things are in good mechanical condition start upgrading in this order or grouped together where possible:

-complete polyeurathane Master Bushing kit, including subframe bushing.
-decent entry level coilovers like Stance, KTS, PBM, Apexi or Megan.
-New wheels sized 17x9+20 or better.
-upgrade brakes... (Z32, J30, Q45... etc etc)

From there you'll have a really good (and much safer) foundation to bigger and things like further suspension/chassis developement, power increases or tasteful aero.

Simmode is pretty much right on haha. Make it safe and running well before you want to mess with too much.
