So the other day I had an injector go out. I got another one...put it in. I tried to start it and it just cranked and cranked. I got it to fire, but had to keep it running with the gas..let off the gas..it died...cleaned the plugs...tried again...same thing but it smoked like hell....pulled a plug...OIL ON IT!! It won't hold an idle on it's own. How does an injector problem turn into burning oil??? I give up until I think of something.

Nah it's only on the combustion side of the spark plug.

Alright so me and some buddies took a look at it today and there is coolant in the cylinders....yea...blown head gasket. I took out the plugs and put my nose to the holes...smells like coolant...so yea...there's my problem I guess. It's not firing right because it's being doused with coolant...makes sense. Are KA24DE's known for doing this or is this just my luck?

Maybe you overheated and you didn't know.

Time for a new headgasket!
Have fun with that, I did. haha.

Replace all the hoses while you're doing it too, might as well.

Man, that sucks. I had to do that to my car. It's not a common problem, it just happens to motors that are old, you gotta replace that stuff eventually. I agree with Razi, go ahead and replace all your hoses, they don't cost that much anyway, lol.
