OK, i've been searching around but i am still unclear as to the exact specs of the firing order. I know that the firing order itself is 1 3 4 2. and that the cylinder closest to front of engine is #4, while cylinder closest to firewall is #1.

now, how to i hook these up to the distributer cap? which plug on the cap goes to cylinder 1? which to 2? and so on. how do i tell where to plug them in to make it fire in a 1 3 4 2 order? by the way, all of this info that i found was for dohc engine, this is the same for a sohc engine right? my engine is sohc, i just want to check to make sure the firing order it ok, i changed the plugs a while back and maybe i screwed up the wires. if anyone can help, i would appreciate it

The cylinder closest to the front is No. 1, next being No. 2, and so on.

The distributer cap might have the wire order on it (If its an S14)

If not, if your standing by the driver's side fender looking directly at the distributer from the top. The upper left is No. 1, immediately to the right is No. 2, the bottom left is No. 3, and the bottom right is No. 4.

Looks like this:

1 -- 2 3 -- 4
