Firewall access points

Hey Everyone - I found this post regarding running the power wire for an amp (post5327412.html?hilit=amp%20wiring%20a ... l#p5327412). This seems pretty straight forward as far as pulling the wire in (although it does seem a little tedious). My question is - has anyone used any other places along the firewall to bring your amps power wire in? Obviously I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for myself, so if anyone has any easier access points to get my power wire through, I'd be extremely interested in hearing about it. Thanks!!

I used that hole for running my wires for DRLs and power wire to the amp as well. I think this the best spot and easy enough unless you drill the hole somewhere else.

Thanks Leo. Did you use any kind of sealant on/around the wire after you put it in there or did the large grommet take care of that?

No. Just left it the way it is. I didn't have a lot of wires so all I did is simple made the hole in rubber piece slightly bigger. That's all.
