fire starter?

I have a s13 ka24de. The engine run ok, idles a little sluggish. Also, the car doesn't seem like it have power. The car is running really rich. I just put my catback and new catco cat on. When I drove it for 10 mins, the cat. converter got really hot that it made the hinges get on fire. I don't know what's the issue, maybe someone know why I am running really rich and make my pipes realllllly hot. The only mod is a 4-1 headers. Everything else is stock.
