finnally got my SR

General discussion forum about the 240sx, and a great place to introduce yourself to the board!

i went and picked up my sr20det today and will start the in stall this weekendthis is what i boughtthe price was $3000

What i got: S13 SR swap w/ harness pre-wired for s13, ecu, igniter, maf, 5spd trans Exedy stg.2 clutch Greddy FMIC with piping BOV 3" down pipe and test pipe A/C lines, so you can have cold a/c and boost heater hoses radiator hoses

Wait are you saying you bought this motor and are telling people where so they can get one too? or are you selling your motor?

kind of a confusing post. you should've just posted the list of parts instead of the whole ad. but anyway.very exciting! i wish i could relive my sr delivery, install, startup, everything!

sorry for the confusion i was really excited last nighti have been wating for my tax return so i could buy this motor the dude i bought this motor from is putting an LS1 in his car thats why i got the hole package deal i posted the hole add to show what all i got for my swap i will edit it so it doesn't look like im trying to sell somethingand as for the KA its long gone

horn lake is just south of memphis tn right on the state line

i got the car ready to go this morning

i was thinking that the tires i bought might have been too wide for the car but i have about a 1/2 inch of room behind of the tire

I wish I had a truck+ trailer, props!

Great price man considering the extras you got with it, I think its a fine deal. Usually you don't get the a/c lines, maf, ignitor or a prewired harness and extra performance goodies.

Will you be doing engine bay prep and paint or just an install?Either way you're going to <3 your SR

well i cleaned up the engine bay after blowing up and removing the ka im going to save up the money for gt3076r and the top mount stuffforged bottomendfully ported headand the nistune stuffwhen i have all the stuff i need i will pull it back out and do a full build with a repaint and all new componints for the hole car

Congrats....I remember my swap most of the fun is buying and accumulating parts and then the start up is the icing on the cake....Ill be starting my rb project later on this year

i think my next one im going to get a hatch and get an s15 sr20det with a 6spd and keep it stock and use it as a DD

took the car to my buddys house tonight we are going to start in the morning i've got everything ready i got the engine harrness fixed up today all i have to do is extend the maf and o2 wires but ill do that after its in the cari am so excited

Dude your shirt and jeans look like my heavy duty car project clothes also lol. Absolutely filthy I only wash them at the laundromat with extra dawn and goo gone in there because they're so bad.

Such a CLEAN shell holy lower rad support!Great find again!

ok almost done thangs left to do:the radiatorthrottle cable bracketbatteryput gas in it and vrooooooooooommmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!things we got done today

the fluid on the ground is from the clutch slave cyl it started leaking when i tried to install it so i had to get a new one

thats my buddys he just did a full rebuild on the 7m-GE-T he upgraded the fuel system (225lph fuel pump,740 injectors,and adjustable fuel pressure regulator)ported the headhere soon he is upgrading the turbo to a gt3576r

I say again sweeeet! You guys are making some good progress from the looks of it. I noticed you making cuts on the front bumper support in order to get the front mount on. Where and how much did you have to trim to get it to fit?
