Hey guys I'm almost done with my S14 SR into S14 swap and as of right now I'm not getting power to the fuel pump, ECU, ignitor, or coils, but i AM getting power to the CAS. So basically its everything on the passenger side of the car. I'm afraid it might be my ECU. What could it be?

Are you sure you wired the dash connector properly? It's the primary power connector for the motor.

Make sure you're getting power to the fuel pump relay and the ignition coil relay (ignition relay should be attached either on the ecu or near it, I can't remember specifically) The ignition key switch should turn the ignition coil relay on. The ECU turns on the fuel pump relay.

ya theres 3 blue relays where the ECU is...two of them are on the harness. Fuel pump relay is in the engine bay fusebox correct?

The fuel pump relay is behind the kick panel on the driver side. The 3 relays on the ECU should be ignition coil, ECCS, and side mirror defog. Guess which one you can live without

check your ignition fuse under the hood. The ignition fuse opens up the current to all of those systems. If it is bad, you need to check all of your grounds BEFORE you try to start the car again (or you will just blow it right back out)

also check the wiring and the grounds. The ground on the ecu for the ignition fuse is black with white stripe...not sure of the exact location but its located near all the other black wires on the plug.

you are describing what happened to me about a week ago.but for me it was accompanied by smoke as a wire was frying...

I haven't worked on an s13 in a long time, but I think that plug is a brown plug on the US model harness. I replaced mine with the connector form the US dash harness.

The connector you're looking for donkey is a white connector next to the ECU plug. It's about 48-ish or so pins. The S13 pictured above uses a much smaller plug, but they're in the same location.

Similar thing to the S14. It connects the EFI harness to the car. The S13 has 3 connectors. 2 next to the battery, and one under the dash. The S14 combined them all down and wired a few other things into it as well (wipers, defoggers)

Give me a picture. I don't know of any 6 or 8 pin plugs near the ECU on the S14 harness.

ok i didnt know which relay was the fuel pump one in the footwell so i pulled all three. I'm getting continuity from all of them. Next question is, where is the ignition coil relay?

Also, we discussed that it might be the ECU. The car and motor has sat for over a year without running, due to school and stuff. I still think it might be the ECU.

you can open your ecu and look for burns,

callmeweezy had that problem when he wasnt starting, but my starting issues we're cuased by a short in my fuse boxes/engine harness so I put in a new one, and it was go time.

the last one is the plug locked into place, the white piece sticking out latches over the plug. when i did my swap my friend removed the harness so i didn't know it was suppose to be locked in. a few weeks later after trying to figure out why it wouldn't start another friend came by and pointed out that it locks in. after that it started right up, i just wanted to make sure this wasn't your problem.

someone also mentioned that the harness could have been wired for a WE ecu and my ecu is WC. I left Yuri a message asking him to call me back and let me know.
