S13 KA24DE w/ t3/t04e. My ECU basemap tune is fine before I got the turbo in, so pretty sure it's not the tune

Here are my symptoms:- Will not build boost at all (only goes up to 0 psi)- Turbo does not sound spooling up (maybe boost leak?)- Very rich idle- Bogs down and very bad hesitation under partial throttle- No CEL light

I haven't run my consult and see what some voltages.

Help?

internal or external gate? could be your gate is wide open if you are internal, not likely if you are external.

External

BTW i forgot to mention first time i start it, the idle is very high, like 2k or sth. And then after it got too rich I think it fouled the plugs and then the idle start dropping and get rough.

Give information about your kit. Injectors, turbo brand and size, wastegate brand and size, injectors mafs tuning device etc.

sounds like your wastegate is stuck open (assuming your using external gate)

As for the richness, what are you using for tuning?

Did you hook the 'In' and 'Out' of the turbo up correctly? J/K~! Are you just revving the motor while it's parked? It's kinda hard to build boost at a stand still. You have to drive the car. Have you tried driving it yet?

My setup:

- Built KA, 9:1 CP pistons, eagle rods- Z32 MAF- Deatschwerks 555cc- Base tune from Calum (using calum basic chipped ECU, non-realtime)- t3/t04e 50 trim .48 a/r- JGS wastegate- DSM bov, bypass setup not blow off

I drove the car and it doesn't build boost.

If wastegate is open, it should have no problem between idle up to 0 psi, right? But I have very bad hesitation, very rough idle and very rich idle.

The tuning was perfect the day before I am boosted though.

I'm doing a boost leak today, we'll see.

more suggestions are welcome, I still need to learn a lot

Hairspray = Intercooler Pipe sealant

...may not 'seal' it per say, but will keep it from sliding/popping off. T-Bolt clamps help too.

you're right. One of the coupler behind the bumper (hence was invisible until i remove the bumper) popped off.

I was working in my friends garage and forgot to bring my keys so I'll start her up tomorrow and hopefully it's fixed.

thanks for all the help guys.

The car now runs, and I can build boost up to like 3-4 psi, but something is still wrong, I cannot rev past 3.5k rpm. after building the boost. I can hear the WG dump tube opens, but it seems too early.

Looks like i still have a leak.

Have the wastegate and boost gauge referenced from the same spot. What exactly happens at 3500rpm?

this may sound stupid but check and see if the ic pipe didn't blow off again or if there is a slight leak where unmetered air that didn't pass through the mafs can get in or out.

i couldn't rev past 1500rpm's after one of my pipes blew off so fixed that mofo with hair spray and doubled up on clamps, SHAZAM!! done deal..

I liked my big t3/t4 I could pop a pipe off, and if I eased into the throttle I could still boost some, frantes it was the joint coupler of cold pipe to pipe to ic so it was seperates but still facing each other. Started becoming a habit every 20minutes of spirited driving.

haha, when i first took my car out for a spin after the turbo setup the ic pipe blew off at 12psi and scared the sh*t out of me lol as you may know, the first drive on boost is all ears and gauge monitering so the big "pop" noise made me jump out of my pants..then it was 1500rpms in 5th at 10 mph in limp mode back to base..
