Yep, I finaly got around to doing a 5spd swap in my 94 vert, gotta say, its quite a bit of work, especaly in the arizona heat! but its well worth it. It took me about a week and a half. We had to wait on some parts and stuff like that.

I swaped out my old broken motor mounts for new autozone ones, got a new center trans mount too. good clutch and all the parts seem to be good. cant wait to get my exhaust back on it so I can take it for a spin and not worry about the local 5-0 giving me a ticket.

But I do have a few problems that devoloped after the swap.....

1. Speedo dosent work, I used the all the SOCH parts that came off the parts car, used SOCH transmission, clutch and speed sensor....but no speedo, it stays pegged at 0

2. Check engien light came on after driving it, maby its becaus my temp gauge sensor broke,

3. car seems to bog if i push on it hard...(mixed up vac lines maby?)

4. Smoke under hood, seems like its burning oil off the manafold after touching it when puting the motor in with greaspy hands...

Let me know guys, sorry about spelling and grammer, i am in a hurry...Thanks

I would check the fuse first on the speedometer. It's on one of the 10 amp ones. It could have just blown a fuse. I blew a fuse the other day on mine because I was to lazy to disconnect the battery when i was fooling around with the power antenna. If it isn't just a blown fuse you may have missed a wire or got a loose connection somewhere.
