Basically the question is should I finish my Ebay front mount setup (I have the core, just need piping clamps and to make some custom brackets) or buy the Greddy M Spec Kit for $70 more? The negative side to the Ebay core is that it is simply HUGE (33x12x3) and will cause more lag. The downside to the Greddy Core is that it is about $70 more than I have right now which will have to go onto my credit card which I don't want to do. Give me your opinions.

^ Oh snap really? I might get it then. Just to be bling blingy. My Ebay core will probably be up for sale shortly. I can tell where this is going already.

I have the greddy type m, its pretty good, kinda heavy tho, doesnt say greddy on the front, or come with a template. But it does fit nicely.

I had to mod the hell out of the front rebar to get it to fit, and I chopped alot out of my front bumper to get it back on.

Get the Greddy, good for ~400 crank hp. It doesn't have Greddy on the front, but when you pop the hood and look down you can see it on the top of the core. You will have to cut a lot out of the bumper though to get to fit back.

Did you have to cut the 5 MPH bumper?

sorry Im not sure what the 5mph bumper is. Im in canada, so I figure we'rethe same as you for crash testing so I must have one. I guess its not that heavy, the core weighs about 15 odd pounds. I figured since it was aluminum it should be lighter.

Ive got a 90 pignose, and pretty much everything that came off, went back in. The styrofoam fit no prob, I had to cut the plastic bumper part to fit, and the big metal crash support bar didnt want to fit at all.

I had to skinny it up by about a 1/2". Its pretty much a box, I cut the back of the box off (the side facing the intercooler) pushed it in, and re-welded it. Its tight like crazy in there now. If I hit anything it will demolish the intercooler, but at least my insurance wont be void for removing a structural member.

The core that you have now is way to large at 33".

Get the GReddy cooler, I want to see how the core design compares to the eBay unit.

TopHat removed both the styrofoam and crash bar/the real front bumper. Like T-rev said though, if you want to keep it, you have to modify it (at least on the pignose). I can't think of anyone who kept theirs, but then again, I've never asked either. I wonder how many keep it?
