Fine orange line in Windshield?? What is it?????

There is a fine orange line Way low in the windshield of my 2001 Qx4,,, that goes up the middle of the windshield ANd someone Has put the registration sticker on it . I need to change it. .the sticker.....I dont want to scrape it, I can see that there are some missing spots on the line as if someone has scraped it before. Help .. What the e!! How do you get the sticker off without further damage?? I bought This Qx4 second hand....so it looks as if its been done before....

To be honest with you, if it's already cut in places, then you're better off just removing the entire antenna from the windshield. It's already compromised, you might was well just completely remove it.

My '01 PF has two antennas, the one in the windshield and a traditional whip.Diversity circuitry in the radio selects the stronger signal. Since the one onyour windshield is compromised , the radio is probably selecting the whip.
