I've been searching everywhere, and I cannot find a place selling a new KA24DE!

I have found plenty of places selling SRs, but I don't want one...

I really don't want to buy one from a nissan dealership...

Help me out!

lol sorry didnt read it well enough you can find rebuilt ones at http://www.rebuiltengines.com but they are VERY expensive I would just recommend finding one for sale on forums or call up a shop that does the sr swap regularly some keep the KA's and sell em.

It seems like I would be better off just rebuilding my current engine. Nothing is wrong with my engine, just alot of miles on it. New question, How much does it cost to have an engine rebuilt? A rough guess. Also, what exactly is done when an engine is rebuilt?

When I had my smallblock rebuilt and re-assembled it was 680 dollars. This included:bore/honedeck the blockpolish the crankbalance rotating assemblyclean everythingcheck all clearances and replace bearingsreassemble short block.

Obviously if you do the head, it will be a bit more, I'd budget 1000-1200 for a full rebuild including the head with assembly. Obviously, any new parts you add will be extra (piston rings etc).
