Hello I have been wanting to buy a Nissan 240 coupe for several years but the tie wasn't right. I'd now like to find a 240 coupe to make a project out of however I've had no luck for the past several months and I'm kind of clueless where to start lookig. I've looked on Nicoonline classifields and craigslist. Just wondering if you all could share some thoughts on where to begin my jourmey. I have a 91 civic with a b16a swap very clean motor lots of mods runs great I would be willing to trade. Once again I'm looking for a 240sx coupe between the years 89-93. I don't like the hatchback model. Thanks for your time anything will help

AFAIK, there were so many less coupes built, so you're going to have a time of it. Not to mention every mother's son was after them 10 years ago for the new drift craze, so most have been wrecked and junked since then...

You might have to travel to find one. Look in neighboring areas on craigslist, autotrader, even ebay if you have to.

Where are you located?

^ This. At this point, expect a fairly wide search. The "drift" community has taken a serious bite out of the pool of clean 240sx's by destroying so many of them in recent years, but you should still be able to find a non-abused one.

Yikes. Keep an eye out for rust on the frame rails, rocker panels, and inner wheel well/strut towers.

There's an import company in Canada which sells all sorts of imports including the 89-93 s13 coupes but I'm sure there's another big process with customs and importing it into the USA. The cars are in wonderful condition

Something about this year must be pivotal in the S13/S14 world. I've had 3 people knock on my door this year wanting to buy the S14. Before this year NOBODY knocked on the door to ask to buy it. They must be getting really rare. Maybe I'll keep it for a couple more years, then sell it for something outrageous because driftax.

coupe's fetch for soo much money. seems that clean stock coupe can go for near 5k in northern states. Here in michigan, no such thing as clean and cheap..lol. most of the guys , that are serious about finding a decent unmolested s13, must travel an average of 500 miles in any direction. my last coupe i owned(very subtle mods), sold for 3k w/single cam ka.
