Ok, I am on a mission. My mom is selling our durango and starting to look for a new car. She wants a new mini but is open to suggestions. Here is the criteria;1) Has to be an automatic !2) Has to be "cute" he he3) Preferably seats four, but doesn't need four doors.4) Price range = 20-30K5) Used or new is fineSo far I'm thinking used 350Z, 99-00 M3, Mazda RX-8, used Impreza, and I'm trying to talk her into a used Supra or Skyline.

The TL's are sweet cars with that performance package they offer.

Yes. Or a 3.2CL Type-S. Sexy car.4th gen max (~96 I believe) would suit her well.2nd gen alti (I'm looking at a '00) would do well.

I'm very fond of the V-6 accord coupes (before the change to the newer body style...the ones with the flat back)

Edit: 240 Verts are sex on wheels btw. Push her towards one

G35 Sedan (with AWD)FX35 (with AWD)MaximaAltima 3.5TLRL

Some of these may have to be used to get in your price range, but I think letting someone else take the hit for new is best anyway.

TSX06 RL?Rx-8 (i would not recommend) car and driver gave it horrible reviews but it was comfy but with high maintance.

But hell she could think a 05' honda accord is cute or a toyota camry. All you can do is take her out for test drives and ignore what the salesman has to say.

Solara-camry i think looks cool.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, in that price range you always have to look at a Lincoln LS. Particularly if she likes BMW styling without the BMW price or maintenance expense. I prefer the LS in V8 since I think it is more reliable than Fords 6.

She wouldn't want a TL because my dad just got an 04. I forgot about a 02-03 CL Type S though, those are bad *** too.

my mom drives a '00 Audi S4. imo, one of the finest and most overlooked automobiles around. 2.7 litre twin turbo v6, 6 speed manual, awd. what more could you want? changing the oil is an adventure. its great in the winter, plus it will blow the doors off a lot of other vehicles.

G35 coupe or sedan. Could probably pick up a used one in that price range.

Lotsa choices in that range both new and used. Some thoughtsToyota: Solara/ V-6 camry - well made, comfortableNissan: new altima 3.5 Lexus: ES300 - sharp carHonda: Accord 2 door - niceMini Cooper S - A good friend of mine bought one, I drove it, very very fun, but it's pretty small.Acura TSX or TL - My sister bought a new TSX, loves it.Audi A4/S4 I agree with KWdrifter. Wonderful cars, Unfortunately reliability is not it's strength. But it's very comfortable, well designed, AWD and a hoot to drive. I'm a big audi fan, (but I own japanese cars). Personally I'd lean toward an A6/S6 before an A4/S4 because it''s bigger and more comfortable but that's me. S4's do rock.BMW M3 - used. Awesome cars but not for the light walleted. very Repair costs will shock youG35's are gonna be more than 30K new, but you might find one in that price range coming off lease. Very nice car.350Z was mentioned, great sports car but not particularly practical You can fit far more stuff + 2 more people in a mini than in a Z, and the mini is smaller.

There are plenty more. Enjoy the hunt
