Finals week anyone?

I don't usually start a lot of threads but I'm in a *****y mood. It's finals week, I HATE studying, lack any kind of motivation, and generally hate college. I am here because it's one of those necessary evils of life. I just slept through my Biology final because I turned my alarm off in my sleep, I have a 4 page paper to write and a Managerial Accounting final to study for by tomorrow, in addition to trying to make up that Bio final somehow.On a non-school related tangent, Ross only sent me half the spiroloks I need for my pistons so now my motor wont be out of the machine shop until NEXT week, when I will be working 40 hrs in a different city and won't have time to pick it up. Stupid ****ers.

im in finals week right now. i have an intro engineering final today, and a physics final thursday. i took my calc 1 final satuday and had my english final the week before thanksgiving. last friday i did my final design project for my engineering lab. it really sucks and i cant wait to get out of here for the break.\

BTW, if you need me too, i can pick up your car for you. i dont know where i would keep it, but i guess i could drop it off by your house or something. just let me know.

Thanks for the offer man, luckily it's not the whole car, JUST the short block. I think if worse comes to worse my friend will pick it up for me next week, I just wanted to be able to do it in person and look over everything. You have some hard classes, mechanical engineering is entirely too math intensive for me...luckily my classes aren't all that hard, I just get so bored trying to study. Your going to have to come by sometime over Christmas break, I might need a 240 that's NOT in pieces to look over

Not to mention I'd love to meet another person from NICO.

Just got done... last Thursday was my last final, and Friday I had to attend a classical concert and write a stupid random one page report over it. So, I guess I was technically done on Saturday.

Thank God finals are over and school is out. If I would have had to attend one more E&M class I would have probably killed someone. :P

Finals week is next week for me, but I'm mainly concerned with finishing up this week. I have two papers to write by Friday, a CS assignment to get done by tomorrow night, and I still have to make up a lab from when I was sick last week.

I can't wait until this is all done, there's gonna be lots of partying afterwards.

UTD rules*!!! my last exam was yesterday, i did very badly, but if i get at least a 50 on it i will get a B in the class.

finals start next week for me, but not before I have (another) 40 page lab report due Friday and a 12 page philosophy paper due on Monday. Sigh, THEN the exams start. I hate this junk, cause I know I'm not really learning much... this jumping through hoops crap really gets on my nerves. I learned more about 240s and engines on my own than I did about my majors in college after almost 4 friggin years. Nobody cares about THAT on your transcript, though. Haha almost 2000 posts at NICO! THAT'S what I'll say to the med schools!

Agreed, this college crap is just so I can have a stupid piece of paper that says I could stick with something and see it to completion. Then, if every single plan I have for what to do with my life doesn't work, I MIGHT actually use it at some point:mad:

my calc 1 test was a beast. i had to get at least a 70 on the test to pass the class regardless of what im making, but i hae to get an 80 on it to make a 70 in the class.

Nathan, just let me know when you wanna get together. my car is by no means the best looking 240 at all, but its all together under the hood and i could lend a hand if you need some help.

And yes, ME is rather difficult. i cant wait for statics, calc3, thermodynamics, and my high end engineering classes.

I took my first final yesterday, it was for my BCIS class (Business and Compuer Information Systems). I hope i did good, it was all hands on. Then i have my second final this friday for my economics class, then i'm done after monday when i have 2 finals, marketing and accounting. I'm have a double major, business and marketing, and i am planning to take over my dad's business (body shop) with one of my sisters. So i can see where why i need to go to school, but hey my dad started the business and it is very successful, and he didn't go to college!

You had a hands on BCIS class? that's amazing! Ours was a lecture with no computers, stupidest thing I've EVER had to take. Economics isn't too hard, I bet you'll do good on marketing and accounting too

God I'm glad I'm done with school. The real world can be hell as well, but you can manage your time on your own and if you are anything like myself, you can completely procrastinate. If you need a good excuse to re-take that Bio final, I have some great ones. I once told my professor that I got into an accident on my way to the final (actually overslept). He told me it would be fine and I could take it the next day if I gave him the accident report (oh ****). I called the police department and told them I was a Criminal Justice major and was doing a presentation on accident scenes. I told the receptionist that I needed an accident report to use as an example for my presentation. She gave me 5 copies (how gullible). I filled it out and went and took my final the next day. I swear, half of college for me was learning how to be an effective liar.

damn, i jsut missed my intro to engineering final. it was today at 2 instead of 4 like the class normally is. so now i get to go back tomorrow for 1 test that will last 30 mins and its a 1 hr drive one way!!!!

Ouch, that sucks...I almost missed my philosophy final yesterday, went at the normal time and there was only 30 minutes left of the final and EVERYONE was done. Luckily she let me take it in her office.

Edit: How important is a college degree REALLY? I'm at the point I dont know which is more fun, being shot in the face or studying (hint, I'm leaning towards being shot in the face, at least it's over quickly). If they would pay me, this would work out so much better.

I had a really hard Econ final yesterday now I am studying for 2 finals tomorrow. Fist one is at 8 am then the second is right after it at 10:30. Man I can't wait till its over.

4 Finals for me:Monday - Advanced Data StructuresTuesday - Sociology, Computer ArchitectureFriday - Macroeconomics

I'm so glad that those first 3 finals are done, I just have econ left, but that class is a joke. The midterm took 20 minutes. Can't wait to head back home for the holidays, I think I'm going to build myself a nice new computer for Christmas

I took my Math final (which is my worst subject, ever) yesterday, just hoping that I passed the class because it's the only thing I need to graduate, and I have my Cisco finals tonight and tomorrow night. I have two written tests tonight, all total, going to be almost 200 questions of situational and BS questions that are going to leave my brain exhausted at the end of the night, and then tomorrow I have to program a 6 router network using EIGRP, ISDN, POTS, OSPF and Frame Relay. Yeah, from scratch. And I have to do it in less than 2 hours.

I can't wait till finals are done, but at least I should be able to get a decent job fairly soon.

Finals suck.

Friday - Engineering Graphics need to get a good grade because i forgot about the first test and got a 40 and sleep through the third test and got a 0.

Saturday - Art Appreciation this class is bull****

Monday - Calculus III this will be so much fun

Tuesday - History hopefully I can do good and get an A in the class

Wednesday - Chemistry worst subject ever

I am already dreading my finals for next semester: Physics II, Higher math for engineers, Thermodynamics, Engineering Mechanics, and Computer aided anlysis. I remember in high shool when i didn't have to study to get A's. Those were good times.
