Finally wiring up my amp

For whatever reason I have been dragging my feet with doing this, but I WILL finally wire up my amp this weekend. My box isn't done yet but I want it all wired up so I can just plug it in and be done with it. My question is where is the best place on my 02 Pathfinder is the best place to pull the battery wire through the firewall? I don't see any real obvious holes and I really don't want to drill holes through the firewall. Thanks.

I pulled a 4 gauge power cable through a rubber grommet on the drivers side of the firewall.... it has wires in it..... I did have to do some slight drilling but very minimal.

There was a black metal plate on the driver's side of the firewall. Taking the plate off revealed a bracket on the inside of the cabin.



Under the dash on the driver's side there is a grey coloured box held on by 3 bolts. I didn't take the time to determine what it was, I think it might have had a connection to the fuses.



I took the bracket and plate off and installed a grommet.



I can run my 4 ga. amp power, interior heater extention cord, and power for another project im doing all through that one grommet and I still have room to spare.

Is that right next to the brake booster? Because if that is it will not work for me because that looks like right where my clutch master is. I plan on taking a better look at it tomorrow.

I got it done yesterday, I went through a hole that is inside the fender and ran it through there without much trouble. It sounds great, now I just have to finish my fiberglass box and maybe make an amp rack.

The carpeting I wanted was out of stock though. They get more on the 13th.

Yeah that hole is used for the clutch master cylinder on manuals. Open on the autos.

sorry to bring up an old thread.i was just wondering where exactly through the fender did you run the wire???
