went to the local 1320 and did alright, only got 3 freggin runs, i got like 8 last time, but o well. first one was a 14.6 at 96 mph with a .450 reaction and a 2.2 60' time. 2nd one was not tight and i dont even want to talk about it. 3rd run i launched at too high rpm and i just roasted em for too long and pulled out a 14.8. i wanted more runs but whatever, i think i could have beat a 14.5 too....

Hehe I ran a 15.8 on a SR. stock boost, but didn't bog. Just spun the all season cheapo radials through 2nd. I need good tires BAD.

Quick...nice time. Maybe I can get there one day. 2.2 60' is what I need right now.

Best I've ran stock is a 14.9.. I'm at 2700ft though. Best run was 13.932@102mph, that was @like 12 psi

I am running, SMIC, 8psi, really crappy tires, don't know how to drag, 3" turbo back exhaust except for the O2 housing.

These are the two most important factors to drag racing, as I quickly found out.

#1 - Go buy some drag radials, before buying LSD#2 - Practice launching your car. All the skill is required in the first 60 ft. The rest of the race is just the car working (as long as you don't miss gears)

I knocked over 4 tenths off my 60 ft time between the first time ever at the track and the end of the second day. 4 tenths is almost a full second in the 1/4.

I am. Waiting on the D2 coils to see if my current wheels clear before I buy tires.

Oh, I also have a VLSD. Forgot to say that earlier.

I get low 2.1s on my balled Kumo 712s (225 width). I've got VLSD though. But that's only when it want to grab. I've got to launch at about 4k to get a 60ft like that, but at least 30% of the time lanching at 4k it'll just smoke though first gear.

its all in how u get outta the hole and how to keep the motor in its power band (yes the SR has a small power band because of that baby **** T25 turbo) i went from running 18.5 to 16.8 on my stock KA24e (well i had an aif filter and a muffler but thats hardly MAJOR mods) ne ways...i ran 14.8@97mph on 10psi and a FMIC...given i dont drag race much ne more i dont think thats too bad (my launching has gone to ****) but learn how launch and bring down them 60fts and keep the car in its power band and ull notice yer times going WAY down (DONT REDLINE THE SR ON THE STOCK TURBO...you lose alot of top end power because of how small the turbo is...shift around 6500-7000 rpms to keep the power up decently)

what the heck?you guys are running High 14's and low 15's on an SR?I ran a 15.9 in my KA with a test pipe!I'm looking to run mid 13's @ 15psi in my SR.I raced my friends STI and we were pretty close. And they run 13.2 stock!

Here's a good bit of advice for those of you that don't drag much!Learn how to powerbrake your car and DO A BIG *** BURNOUT!Even if you only have an open diff, you will still get better traction if one tire is sticky. That way you can rev it up and dump the clutch out of the hole! Also, dump it when the last yellow light ignites! you should end up with a .500 - .700 RT. Which is not to bad for a rookie. And here's the last rule of thumb, BEAT YOUR CAR LIKE IT BELOWS TO SOMEONE ELSE! You'll run good times!

Dont do this....Big burnout on DOT tires wont do u squat..

spin them up to clean em off gave me the best 60 foot

dropping the clutch doesnt work..well at least for my car....i have too much low end torque...no matter how i launch i get a bad start....

but ya, high 14s for a swap sucks....i did that with a Boost Controller, Cone filter and no exhaust

In my Ka-T I found that doing a burnout always helped my launch!I have always had an open diff though! If I pulled up to a light next to a supra or camaro or something with some HP, I would flip on my line lock and do a big smokey burnout. Part of which was to taunt the other person and psyche them out, and I would always rip them off the line!I know that it has been written time and time again that heating up your tires doesn't work with DOT rated ones, but it has always worked for me.And all the times I didn't, I would spin, roast my clutch, or bog out!I'd just rather rip out of the hole! But that's just my opinion on my cars!

uh i dont know, my friend ran 14.1 with just down pipe exhaust and filter, his car use to seem slow because his blow off valve was making it slower, try running the stock recircic i think most people will get better times, no cool pssssh sound but it makes a difference

enjuku ran a 12.8 on their stock T25, I would imagin with totally stock everything including boost, the car should be good for low 14's with the same driver and high 13's with basic modifications.

i ran a 13.8@100mph. Stock turbo 13psi. My buddy with a similar set up ran about the same. And we were thinking we were too slow! LOL

tsk, tsk. There is no excuse to not be in the low 14's with an SR.

best my bone stock SR did at 3000ft above sea level (here in vegas) was 15.1...its all in how you drive it...im sure it would have broken 14s with 100 octane

I ran a 13.4 @ 105 on the T25, street tires, and 14 PSI. My best time at stock boost is a 13.9

I have an S13. Those times were on 205 40 15's with stock suspension. I have pretty much all the boltons except a turbo elbow and a tublar exhaust manifold. I'm also running the stock TB, Intake manni and cams.

Be sure your timing is @ 15 BTDC. Mine was at 5 BTDC and i couldn't break 14.2 @ 12 PSI

I'm with the other guy.... I thought SR's ran low 14's with VERY little help.

They do. Mine did. Many others did. So far only the few I've seen on this thread haven't.

I just went to the track today, no RPM gauge, no Speedometer, and ran 13.6 with a 2.0 0-60'. All 3" from turbo down, fuel pump, fmic, and at 14psi. 18" tires, but I kept practicing launch and did it well today. Also brought home another trophy...hehehe
