how do u retrieve the wires in the engine bay? Cause isnt the cruise control actuator blocking the hole?

Just get a cordless drill and pull the carpet back a little on the passenger side, enuf to get to the black mat under. Cut a slit in the black mat and peel it enuf to get to the metal. Drill your hole and run your wires. Much easier than messing with the driver's side where there isn't any extra room.

i know that, but how do you retreive the wires in the engine bay? I was thinking of drilling a hole where the parking-break wire goes, its just above the gas pedal. Anyways, what drill bit do you use?

Just push the wire thru and then crawl under the car and pull out the rest of the way thru.

Drill bit? Since it's metal you might want a drill bit that's made for metal?

lol I held back on that one ..

Might want a few drill bits .Make a small Pilot hole then use the big one.Firewalls can be a bugger to drill through.

I actually used a 1.5" or so metal hole bit (the kind with the regular looking bit in the middle and round hole saw on the outside) and it did just fine. It is tough and makes terrible sounds when doing it but it will work.

That's why I drilled that large of a hole. I had a special plastic gromet thing that slides over the power cable and you slide the other piece from the opposite side and then screw them together. Makes for a very tight, water-proof fit on the firewall.

I usually make the grommet from split rubber hose then seal it off with silicon.
