and $429.92 later the car is running good .

let me start from the beginning then. i bought this car around may and when i got it it had quite a few problems such as the HUD not working, no speedometer/odometer/tripmeter working, no dash lights, CEL on (throwing EGR and speedsensor), bad fuel economy, hesitation, and about 12 OR LOWER mpg !

with the CEL on i really didnt know how to pass smog, esp since i didnt have money and no job. but luckily my mechanic, whos also my friends dad knows the smog guy next door and asked him to ignore the CEL . i passed emmisions with flying colors... even with the car throwing a bad EGR circuit.. i dunno how but yeah...

to continue my story i tried to solve my car problems ie bad fuel economy, and car hesitation by seafoaming, changing my plugs, wires, fuel filter, checked timing, o2 sensor... still nothing really good happened. was still getting about 12 mpg or so... -_-. finally after driving only 2 days and only 30 miles, which is 2 trips to school and back i used up about 1/4 of my tank and i was fed up with wasting my money on the gas. i just spend $32 to fill up on a full tank. so i decided to take the car to the shop and heres what they found and did

a fuel leak in the back of the car, hose was spraying out a mist of gas while the car was on... cost to fix that... $48

r & r the cap/rotor for $34

changed the EGR bpt valve and solenoid for about $26

and r & r the speed sensor with a used one for $78

i think i got all those numbers right. end result so far from what i can tell... speedometer FINALLY works its weird to know how fast im going now... now i just gotta swap back my analog for the digital . i can peel out ! no more freakin car hesitation... i can feel my car pull... fuel economy, i'll find out when i go back to school... see if my gauge drops down or anything.

i think i got everything i wanted to rant/rave about. thanks for reading guys ! ill snap some pics when i get back later tomorrow to show you what the hell happened to these parts

Yeah me too. Damn it's been a long time. So, uh, there weren't any clues as to the constant gasoline fog in the trunk?

What I meant was, did it really require a shop to figure out there was a fuel leak in the back?
