Dear Niconauts,

It has been a LONG time since my last post (probably well over 3 or 4 years) but it wasn't because I don't love you.

There are probably a lot of new member since my last post and some of you OG cats may remember me.
(You know, the dude who lived in Japan for 10 years, owned a couple of cool Nissans and such.)

Well, after almost 7 years back in the U.S. I am back in a Nissan...err...actually I'm now in an Infiniti G25X.
Midwest and snow go together like biscuits and gravy except one is better than the other.

Well, when I bought it, I new it had a minor oil leak at the front passenger side of the engine, and I think I have found it.
It looks to be coming from the oil filter/cooler sandwich plate. Seems pretty straight forward, however, I'll be hitting up the G forums and searching to see what I can find.

Anywho, I hope the pic attaches correctly.

Take care ya'll and hope e'ryone's doing fine these days!

Beautiful car!
Thanks, man!
Got to get a couple of items sorted out tomorrow before I'll start driving it.
Oil cooler o ring and oil filter adapter gasket (the one between the block and the adapter) are getting changed as the seemingly common oil leak from the cooler is there. So, why not kill knock out the gasket while I'm in there?

See attached.

Initial estimate is $2800 however, that was just from the visual inspection and not fully tearing into it.
They (as well as I) suspect there is some suspension damage which will most likely raise the cost.
I'm guessing it's going to be somewhere in the realm of $3300 - $3800 if the suspension is compromised and needs replaced/repaired.

I remember you, I don't know why I do but biscuits and gravy in the Midwest? Never while visiting family in Ohio have I ever been offered biscuits and gravy while there. Leave the Midwest like everyone else is doing and come South where it's not cold and you can get true biscuits and gravy! Sorry I was just trying to be funny, I'll see you on the G pages.
