Hi all, first let me start by saying im a newbie to this whole Nissan Forum. Im finally doin my swap. Have a 1989 240sx SOCH Hatch. Blew the motor last summer and finally saved enough for swap. Ive been doin some light research and decided to go with Blacktop Sr Engine.. Cost more but most likely lesser mileage. Part purchased are:

-Greddy Pulley Kit-Exedy Stage 2 Clutch-Fidanza Light Weight Flywheel-New Water Pump-Nismo Colder Thermostat.. The one that opens at 62 degrees-New Fuel Filter...300zx-Nismo Motor/transmission Mounts-Walbro 255 Fuel Pump-Megan Turbo Manifold-Megan Downpipe-Megan Test Pipe-Megan Turbo Elbow-Front Mount Intercooler Kit-Koyo Radiator-Slim Fans-HKS SQV BOV-Megan Drift Spec Exhaust

Also Purchased the Power Streering Bracket from a friend.. I know I need the Gauge Cluster from a DOCH to make gauge cluster work. Was wondering if anyone recommends me getting any other upgrades and or mods or tuning before we go about dropping the motor in???

Also if anyone has the cluster for sale please let me know, def interested in purchasing...

And was also wondering what kind of Horsepower numbers I should be expecting with the current mods I have??

Im also planning on purchasing the Greddy Intake Manifold But not sure. Have yet to read about any reviews and or HP numbers gained from it. Being that it does cost $495. I have seen it on a friends car. Thing is huge. I also plan on getting the Z32 MAF, but from what I read Its really not worth getting just yet unless I go over 300 WHP. Which I plan on at least having 350-400 WHP eventually. Also plan on upgrading injectors but read stock ones are good for up to around 280 WHP. So not purchasing just yet either.

Sorry for the long story here. Just looking to get some feedback/help/recommendations before I go about finishing the swap.

Any help would be appreciated. Especially ones that would get me into my expected whp numbers between 350-400.. Thnks

Welcome to NICO! If you check the stickies at the top of the SR forum you'll find a thread called SR frequently asked questions/FAQ and under that you'll see Paul's SR HP thread, that'll give you a general idea of what you need to achieve your numbers. Using the search button will also help in your endeavors.

Your list looks pretty good so far.

I would recommend just getting the motor running first before going balls to the wall. It's easier to diagnose a stock motor if it fails to start than one that has a ton of upgrades done to it (especially if the upgrades are electrical in nature)

Thanks... I just figure I install everything now since I have the motor out and take it from there. My friend is going to help me with the install. Hes already done a couple of swaps... So at least no labor cost for me.. But Im trying to be between the 350-400 whp mark. Thats plenty enough for me.

At least put the mani and turbo on OUT OF THE CAR. Unless youre RHD, then youll be cool, but pulling the turbo and mani in LHD SUCKS!
